TA’s journey of resilience and determination continued as he pursued higher education. Despite facing challenges such as depression, he enrolled in Wallace State Community College and graduated with honors, showing his commitment to overcoming obstacles. He then furthered his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), earning a Master's degree in Communication Management.

A significant moment in Timothy's journey occurred on September 2, 2017, when he achieved a remarkable milestone: standing up and walking out of the tunnel independently for the first time since his paralysis in 2006. A video capturing this incredible moment went viral, gathering attention from major news outlets such as ABC National News, ESPN-Sport Center, and CBS-SportsNetwork.
